Dual Existence replaces that which has been temporarily lost; gallery walls have given way to URLs and live streams, and personal devices are now doorways to live performances.

Over 12 weeks, 12 artists will occupy @dualexistence, each considering the relationship between performance art and online spaces. What does it mean to stream from, and perform in, private spaces? How do we remove ourselves from, or feed into, the performativity of online spaces? How are bodies framed on social media and in performance art?

Outcomes from each residency will be exhibited on the website gallery as the weeks progress.

Dual Existence is proud to be supporting Cal Harper, Sean Miles, Georgia Banks, Chelsea Coon, Sïan Kelly, Zoë Bastin, St Jorge, Daniel R. Marks, Kieran Butler, Amy Claire Mills & Bailee Lobb, Holly Durant and Sha Sarwari.

I presently live and work upon lands belonging to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nations. Sovereignty has never been ceded.
Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
